Deluxe Docks & Lifts Barge Service is a growing, family-owned company specializing in dock and lift assembly and installation.  We take pride in making our clients happy by producing high quality results & service, while using the best equipment on the market to do so. Compensation: $19-20/hr (Depending on Experience)

Location: Lake Panorama, IA

Job Description:

This position would be ideal for a person with some experience in general carpentry, assembly, and familiarity with watercraft. Paid on the job training will be provided. This position is a career that requires physical fitness and a strong work ethic. A Barge Crew Member is for those who love to work on the water, receive satisfaction from building a project from start to finish, and enjoy working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Typical daily work will consist of construction of docks and lifts on and off the water. This position will report directly to the foreman of the barge.

Job Duties:

A Barge Crew Member duties include but are not limited to:

• Unloading material deliveries on site/onto the barge
• Assembly of a variety of docks and boat lifts 
• Coordination with the foreman to set docks and lifts with the barge
• Checking for correct stabilization of docks and lifts 
• Keeping the barge and tools clean and tidy at all times
• Winter operation hours will consist of preparing for upcoming projects, organizing inventory, shop work, and optional snow removal

Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate will have some knowledge of operating watercraft safely and efficiently 
• The ideal candidate will have knowledge of measurements, levels, saws, and other basic hand tools
• All candidates would ideally have the ability to swim in case of an emergency event on the water
• The selected candidate will be required to have a reliable form of transportation and a valid drivers license
• Must be able to lift and maneuver objects up to 90 lbs
